Simone Biles

Simone Biles, a gymnast American, was awarded her 20th medal at the world championships. Team USA won their seventh world title consecutively at Antwerp Belgium's World Championship on October 4. She has won 33 medals and has the highest number of medals to ever compete in gymnastics. This also includes the Olympics. Biles has performed a vault that was so challenging it was the first time an individual woman had ever done it on an international scale. The feat, formerly known under the name of Yurchenko Double Pike, has been changed to Biles II. At the end of her all-around event on the 6th October, the world record-breaking gymnast will compete in her first ever international meet in 2021. In 1997, within Columbus Ohio Simone was taken away from the residence of her birth mother, who had a history of addiction, and was placed in foster care with her siblings. Ron the retired Air Force vet and Nellie an experienced nurse who retired, helped care for Simone at the age of six years old. Also, the couple adopted their older sister Adria. Simone and her elder siblings were adopted by their maternal aunt.
